World Development Report 2018
The World Development Report (WDR) is published annually by The World Bank, and provides in-depth analysis on a topic that is closely connected to global economic growth and development. Dating back to 1978, past reports have looked at agriculture, equity, public services, transition economies, labor, infrastructure, health, the environment, risk management, governance and the law, and poverty, to name a few. In 2018, learning and education were the focus, and for the second time I was invited to design the cover, iconography, and several key graphic elements (e.g. data visualizations, graphs, figures, etc.) used by the writers to explain essential concepts and tell a more compelling story.
