2013 was a breakout year for California’s Integrated Demand-Side Management Program (IDSM). Sponsored by California’s Public Utilities Commission, demand side programs are energy management programs designed for use in both the commercial and residential space, and are intended to reduce energy use on the customer’s side of the meter. The objectives of this program are twofold. First, to meet California’s energy growth needs while optimizing energy efficiency & conservation. Second, decrease per capita energy use & reduce toxic & greenhouse gas emissions. The report highlights their recent successes in a colorful, bold, yet clean visual presentation.
