I work closely with my clients to explore, craft, and cultivate their unique stories with honesty, originality, and a little flair.
Design to Make a Difference
William Shakespeare once wrote that the object of art is to give life a shape. I believe that the object of graphic design is to give business a shape. Whether it’s a fresh new identity program, a striking piece of corporate collateral, show-stopping packaging graphics, or a head-turning brand revitalization effort, the objective is always the same: use thoughtful strategies and strong visual storytelling to captivate audiences, and move people to affection. Below are the categories I contribute to on a regular basis, and the capabilities I offer to help my clients stand up, stand apart, and stay relevant.

Professional Strengths
Collaboration. I believe strongly in the power of collaboration and crafting solutions that leverage my client’s knowledge and expertise at every turn. When their experiences are used to guide my creative efforts, we increase the likelihood that our solutions will be on-target and in line with audience expectations.
A Higher Standard. I believe in the intrinsic value great design can bring to the world. It gets people to take notice, helps you stay relevant, and allows content to be seen in a more positive light. For these reasons, I will always hold myself to a higher standard, using my experience and skills as a designer to deliver an exceptional product.
Proven Partnerships. Working as an independent creative, you will enjoy the benefit of having a personal and direct connection with the owner. You will also have access to a network of creative collaborators who are available to participate on an as-needed basis to better manage costs while delivering quality assets.
A Balanced Approach. As much as design should inform and educate, it should also inspire and excite. I take pride in my ability to craft solutions that find the right balance between creativity and practicality—that are uniquely artistic, but also culturally and contextually appropriate.
Finding Clarity. I work closely with my clients to ensure critical ideas and complex information get communicated in a clear and concise manner. Only when messages are understood, information is easily absorbed, and key concepts are relatable, are you able to connect in a meaningful way to make an impact and impart change.

Meet Kurt
I have worked as an independent graphic designer since 2000. My work spans a wide range of clients, and covers a variety of industries and service categories, from local mom-and-pops to international non-profits, and most everything in between. Regardless of whether you are a novice brand looking to make a strong first impression, a challenger brand hoping to rise above the competition, or a non-profit seeking better ways to deliver on mission, I understand the critical role design plays in helping you get noticed, and the ongoing effort it takes to stay relevant. Depending on the type and nature of the assignment, I am ready to offer my input, insights and expertise at any point along the way to help you arrive at a design solution that reflects your individual needs, and meets your current and future growth expectations.
