Seattle’s Office of Sustainability & Environment looks to engage communities in climate action
Seattle Community Climate Project Identity
Protecting Seattle’s unique environment and the natural beauty of the northwest is as much a part of this area as coffee, rain, and the Space Needle. Going green is not just something Seattleites talk about; it is a core value that guides their choices every day. While many of these choices are made by individuals, Seattle’s many community organizations are important catalysts for action as they provide information, encouragement and opportunities for residents and businesses to do their part to address climate change. The Seattle Office of Sustainability & Environment wants to support these grassroots organizations by funding projects that engage local residents and communities in climate action.
